Bio:
Julie has worked in the financial services industry since 1993 and has held a pioneering role with Ellenbecker Investment Group (EIG) since it was founded. Julie’s primary role is to oversee the firm’s business operations and promote its high level of standards throughout every aspect of its growth while acting as President and Senior Wealth Advisor. Julie also leads a team in servicing our EIG clients. Both personable and knowledgeable, Julie has built strong relationships with our clients, employees, and partners.
Julie has successfully passed the FINRA Series 7 General Securities Representative exam, Series 6 Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Limited Representative exam, Series 63 Uniform Securities Agent State Law exam and the Series 65 Uniform Investment Adviser Law exam, as well as obtaining Health and Life Insurance licenses. Julie has been a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional since 2005 after completing educational course requirements in Financial Planning, Retirement Planning, Tax Planning, Estate Planning, and Insurance Planning. She earned the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst ® (CDFA®) designation in 2014.
Julie holds a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and is a member of the Financial Planning Association of Southern Wisconsin. She is a graduate of the Leadership Intensive Program, a powerful personal development program for individuals and leaders who care passionately about living and working a life of significance.
As an advocate of volunteerism and philanthropy, Julie served as a Director on the Rogers Behavioral Health Foundation Board from 2009 – 2013 and as the Chair from 2013-2020. She is currently serving as a Director for the Women’s Center in Waukesha and is a committee member for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee – Camp Whitcomb Mason. Julie has been a founding member of the EIG Charitable Foundation since 2006 and serves on the Board of Directors for Pillows with Wings since 2023.
Julie lives in Nashotah with her husband and is enjoying the “empty nest” phase of life. She loves spending time with her family and friends, boating, reading, entertaining, concerts, traveling, teaching, and learning.
