This week on the Positive Polarity Podcast, we talk with Merrick Rosenberg from Taking Flight Learning about the different personality types and the names he coined for each type. Whether you are an eagle, parrot, dove or owl, you will want to tune into this episode as they discuss how self-awareness can lead to business success. Merrick outlines each personality type and how understanding and meeting your perspective client where they are will lead to more open communication. This is excellent for anyone in sales, but Dave and Merrick also talk about bringing these styles home with you and using them with your spouse and kids too! It’s all about being the best version of who you are.

Bio:

I am the leading personality expert and award-winning/bestselling author of Taking Flight! and The Chameleon, two books about the power of personality. As a keynote speaker, I share my entertaining and insightful way of learning about ourselves and others with people all over the world. I have certified more than 500 trainers to share my reimagined approach to the four personality types that I refer to as Eagles, Parrots, Doves, and Owls. Audience members see themselves in the conversation as they enjoy answering the question, “Which bird are you?”

I founded Team Builders Plus in 1991 and Take Flight Learning in 2012. After teaching more than 100,000 people how to use their personality to build relationships and lead happy lives, I identified a pattern that predicts who will win presidential elections based solely on personality. The pattern has been so consistent, it has held strong for 22 consecutive elections going all the way back to 1932—and if history has any say in the matter, personality will decide who will win in 2020. I captured this model in Personality Wins: Who Will Take the White House and How We Know. I enjoy enlightening audience members who think they are voting for platform when in fact, they are really voting for personality.

Under my leadership as CEO, my company has been selected as the New Jersey Business of the Year and named one of the Fastest Growing Companies and Best Places to Work in the Philadelphia area a combined 14 times over the past 11 years.

I received a B.A. in Political Communications from George Washington University an M.B.A. from Drexel University who recognized me as the Alumni Entrepreneur of the Year. I have worked with more than half of the Fortune 100 companies in the US and around the world.
