Rick Bowers from APEX GTS joins us this week and we discuss how to help your company grow, transform and be successful. Rick and Dave talk about creating relationships and having open communication with those you work with. They talk about different communication styles and how to adapt your style to the person you are talking to, including using words that work and eliminating words that don’t work. They also touch on employee engagement and creating an excellent “employee experience” as a leader.
Bio:
Born in Iowa and raised with midwest values, Rick understands what it means to get up early, work hard, and deliver results. He knows the dedication it takes to achieve greatness and for an organization to reach its Apex.
Rick’s life’s work has been the discovery and application of understanding an individual’s unique strengths and applying them to the company’s needs and goals. Rick held several positions in his over thirty years with TTI Success Insights, starting while in college at Arizona State University. By the end of his time at TTI, Rick was president of the organization serving consultants across the globe.
In addition, he is a member of the Hartman Institute’s Board and ASU’s National Alumni Council, where he serves as both an ambassador and an advisor.
In 2022, Rick harnessed his years of experience helping consultants help organizations and create Apex GTS Advisors. He helps organizations discover their Apex and then builds a path for achieving it through growth, transformation, and success.
Rick believes in the philosophy of working hard and playing harder. Rick enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons when not working. Rick loves the water and enjoys boating, water-skiing, wakeboarding, wake surfing, snow skiing, snowmobiling, go-karting, and off-roading.
