Bio:
I am known for thinking outside the box and easily seeing what others do not see readily. I have a strong work ethic, financial acumen and desire to achieve results. Growing businesses, teams and supporters excites me. My 38 years of experience has taught me many executive skills spanning from resource development, corporate & nonprofit management, business development, financial management, marketing, strategic planning, and sales. I am proud of my proven track record of delivering exceptional results in business and nonprofits. I am entrepreneurial, visionary and thrive in creating something great where nothing previously existed. Connecting concepts to actions to deliverables excites me. I enjoy continuous learning, performance improvement, change management, organizational development, and coaching.
The CEO since 2005, I have lead RM to become a well-recognized, year-round, vigorously active Milwaukee nonprofit, including numerous sponsors, multiple annual events, and a venerated, dedicated board. , I have advanced organizational funding from $40,000 to over $6 million annually, lead and structured an inspiring community network, of 14 amazing team members, and 25 licenced local contractors.
As one of the preeminent community members and I have been recognized as changing the landscape of Milwaukee. I’m Past -President of the Board for the Medical College Cardiovascular Board and have served in leadership roles since the age of 16. Past board positions include Board Chair of Community Shares of Greater Milwaukee, VP of Communications for the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Board Member of Community Advocates, Inc., Member of Franklin Economic Development Commission, and Commissioner for the Milwaukee County Commission on Aging to name a few. Currently looking for meaningful opportunities on Corporate Boards to advance company priorities.
Awarded the Woman of Influence in 2017, featured in the July 2014 issue of Milwaukee Magazine as a person changing the landscape of Milwaukee, and on the cover and feature article of Wisconsin’s Women’s Magazine in April 2012. I am the esteemed recipient of UWM Community Partners Award, May 2010 in addition to being recognized by receiving the Unsung Hero’s Award, November 2009, from Wisconsin Foundation for Independent Colleges.
